Flights of the Dragonfly - Goodbye July

I am bidding a not so fond farewell to July. July has been a month of ickiness and illness for me. It started on the honeymoon where I got my first cold. It lasted about a week and a half. I was better for a few days and then wound up leaving work to go to the ER for a different problem. I spent a week trying to feel evened out from that event. And then last week I wound up with another cold. I am still kinda phlegmmy, which sucks when you are massaging people and trying not to cough or clear your throat loudly. But, I am feeling better. I am also having trouble sleeping. I've been taking melatonin over the last couple of nights. I have still woken up several times during those nights, but at least I got more than 6 hours of sleep in the end. I am convinced that August will bring much better health to me. So, I am kicking July to the curb and hailing the coming of August. Woo hoo!

Random commentary:
Nicole Richie. Normally I wouldn't give a damn about her. But, I'm rather pissed that the big news is that she was busted for driving under the influence and that she is pregnant... as in, they are touting these as two separate stories. Um. Shouldn't the story be that she was PREGNANT under the influence AND ALSO driving under the influence?! Surely this isn't something so passe to bring up in a news story. She apologized to those who have had loved ones killed by drunk drivers. All right. That's fine. But, what about the child she is apparently planning to continue carrying and give birth to?! Oy. Anyway, just had to bitch for a moment.
